A full extension slide has three members — a fixed outer rail, an intermediate rail and an inner rail — so the moving part travels the whole closed length out of the cabinet. It is the most widely used type for drawers, battery trays and equipment that must be serviced from the front.
FEDS full extension slides are available in C45 E+C steel, AISI 316L stainless steel, Duplex 1.4462 and EN-AW 6082 T6 aluminium, from light service drawers up to heavy duty systems. Locking in and out, special lubrication and stainless ball cages are available on request.
A partial extension slide opens to about 75 % of its closed length and is stiffer; a full extension slide opens 100 % and gives complete access.
At the same size, a full extension slide deflects more at full travel than a partial one. Choosing the right cross-section keeps both deflection and load within limits — ask us for a calculation.
Load, travel, installation space and environment — our engineers will recommend the right slide or design one for you.
