Why partial extension

With only two members, a partial extension slide has fewer transitions and a shorter lever than a full extension slide of the same size. The result is higher stiffness, lower deflection and a compact cross-section — ideal for guards, covers, keyboard and equipment trays, and heavy loads that do not need to leave the cabinet completely.

Typical applications

  • Machine guards and doors
  • Equipment and instrument trays
  • Seat and platform adjustment
  • Linear guidance with limited travel

Frequently Asked Questions

How far does a partial extension slide open?

Typically about 75 % of its closed length.

Is partial extension stronger than full extension?

For the same cross-section it is stiffer and deflects less, because it has fewer members and a shorter extended lever.
